PostSubject: what do you think about this?   Fri Jun 05, 2009 6:19 am

This past weekend I was downtown with a friend and ended up meeting up with a guy I have been talking to. He was at a crowded bar with some friends and after awhile of searching I found him. I went up to him and started talking. As soon as I started talking with him his friends (2 girls and 2 guys) got up and left. I was never introduced. More than likely they would have stayed and chatted me up if I was introduced to them. I cant help but to think that they saw me as a bar girl hitting on their friend rather than someone he has been talking to, which is why they left "to give us our space". I feel a tad disrespected. Maybe I am over analyzing the situation, which is why I am asking y'all what you think?

Ok, just to clear up how this is coming across TO ME, let me clarify what I'm getting. The first sentence tells me that the meeting wasn't planned. The second sentence sounds "kinda" like it was planned. The fourth sentence says there was no time lapse between when you started talking and when the friends got up and left.

Alright, what I see . . . if the meeting WASN'T planned, it's understandable that he didn't introduce, considering he was likely surprised to see you. Then his friends left before he pulled himself together. If the meeting WAS planned, then yeah, he should have introduced you. That is, if he's sincerely interested in you. Although, I'm not perfect either and don't always make the intro's, but that's my take.

If the meeting was planned . . . disrespect. If the meeting wasn't planned . . . shocked.

It was sorta planned. We didnt really plan to get together, but I told him I was gonna be downtown. During the night he texted me several times telling me where he was at downtown...so it should have been no surprise. There wasnt too much of a time lapse between when i got there and when his friends left...like maybe a good 5 min. I totally felt like i was imposing though so i left after a good 20 min.

Wow. You felt like you were imposing . . . even after the friends were gone. Doesn't say much about the vibe between you two.

I always introduce my friends whether they are a surprise or not. If its even sorta planned I would still introduce. Friends can leave after introductions if they want
